Michael Fuenfzig studied economics at the University of Bonn. After receiving his Master’s degree in 2002 he worked as a research associate at the Schumpeter Institute of the Humboldt University in Berlin. He worked on dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, and developed such a model for resource-rich economies.
In 2003 he started his PhD studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 2009 with a dissertation on the determinants of the quality margin in international trade. At ISET he is focused on international trade and competition policy.
