Michele Valsecchi

Michele has been Assistant Professor at NES since September 2017. Before then, he held a Wallander postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Gothenburg and spent long visiting periods at IIES (Stockholm), LSE-STICERD (London) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). His research focuses on the role of institutions in developing countries and weakly institutionalized settings. In the past, he worked on land property rights, local elections and bureaucrats’ corruption, ethnic favoritism. He published in the Journal of Development Economics.

Konstantin Egorov

Konstantin is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the New Economic School. He received his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University in 2018. His research interests are in the field of International Economics.

Douglas L. Campbell

Douglas L. Campbell holds a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Davis with specializations in International Economics, Economic History, and Open-Economy Macroeconomics, and was previously a Staff Economist at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama administration, and also worked as a Modeling Analyst at the Democratic National Committee during the 2010 midterm elections. He currently works as an Assistant Professor at the New Economic School. He is one of the top 150 most followed economists in the world on Twitter @TradeandMoney.

Pavle Radicevic

Pavle Radicevic

Pavle is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the New Economic School in Moscow. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of New South Wales in Sydney. His research interest is in the area of theoretical corporate finance with a focus on the interaction of ownership concentration and corporate policies.

Marta Troya-Martinez

Marta is an Assistant Professor at the New Economic School and a research affiliate at CEPR. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford where she also worked as an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow and JRF at Jesus College. She has previously worked in the Competition Division of the OECD, the Chief Economist Office of the Office of Fair Trading (now Competition Commission) and the Inter-American Development Bank.

Sergei Golovan

Sergei Golovan

Sergei Golovan holds a M.Sc. cum laude in Mathematics from Moscow State University and an M.A. cum laude in Economics from New Economic School. He has been working at NES as a Senior lecturer since 1999, specializing in macroeconomics, econometrics and math.

Hozny Zoabi

Hosny Zoabi is an assistant professor in Economics at the New Economic School. He received his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University in 2005. Zoabiā€™s research focuses on understanding the determinants of long-run economic growth and its interaction with demographic changes, market structure and gender differences. It also concentrates on current demographic trends evolving in developed and developing countries.
