Bill B. Francis
Professor Bill B. Francis holds a Ph.D. degree in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto. He has been at the Lally School since 2005 where he is currently the Bruggeman Professor of Finance.
He is a finance scholar that is an internationally known expert on international and corporate finance. He is the author of more than 70 articles and book chapters relating to financial markets, exchange rates and managerial decision making. His work has been published in the top finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Business, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance, Contemporary Accounting Research, The Journal of American Tax Association, Journal of Corporate Finance and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. He is on the editorial board of several journals including The Journal of Financial Stability, Economic Analysis and Law Review, International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance. He has won several best papers and teaching awards. He has presented numerous papers and has participated in numerous colloquiums both nationally and internationally. Prior to joining The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he held appointments at the University of South Florida and at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. At the University of South Florida he held the Bank of America Professorship.
Aleh Mazol
Aleh Mazol received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Belarusian State Economic University (2003) and obtained his Master’s degree in Economics from Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) in 2013. Since January 2015, Mazol works at the Belarusian Research and Outreach Center (BEROC) as a Researcher.
His research interests are spatial economics, monetary economics, poverty and inequality and corporate governance.

Anastasiya Luzgina
Anastasiya Luzgina works as a Research Associate at the Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center (BEROC). Before that, she served as an Associate Professor at the Belarusian State University. Anastasiya Luzgina also has worked at the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (2003-2007) and the IMF Resident Representative office in Belarus (2007-2009).
In 2015, Anastasiya took a part in the program for visiting researchers of the Central Bank of Finland. She also participated in Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (USA) (2018). She teaches monetary policy, monetary statistics, finance and FinTech.

Torbjörn Becker
Torbjörn Becker has been the Director of the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in Sweden since 2006 and is a board member of several economics research institutes in Eastern Europe.
Prior to this, he worked for nine years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where his work focused on international macro, economic crises and issues related to the international financial system. He holds a Ph.D. from the Stockholm School of Economics and has been published in top academic journals and has contributed to several books and policy reports focusing on Russia and Eastern Europe.
