Daryna Manzhura

Daryna Manzhura is a Research Fellow at the KSE Center for Food and Land Use Research and a Coordinator of the EU-funded and World Bank-implemented “Supporting Transparent Land Governance in Ukraine” project”.

Her research interests cover the land market in Ukraine; increasing its transparency and introducing public monitoring of land relations, strategies for state support in agriculture, access to data, and land-related anti-corruption policies.

Giorgi Shavreshiani

Giorgi Shavreshiani joined the Agriculture and Rural Policy Research Center at the ISET Policy Institute as a Researcher in August 2023. He received his bachelor’s degree with a Macroeconomics module from Tbilisi State University and completed a Master’s degree in Economics at ISET in 2020.

After graduating from ISET, Giorgi worked at the State Audit Office of Georgia at the Department of Performance Audit. Since September 2021, he has been a visiting lecturer at Ilia State University, teaching Principles of Economics to first-year BA Students.

Tatia Khidasheli

Tatia Khidasheli is a researcher at the Agricultural Policy Research Center at the ISET Policy Institute. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the International School of Economics at TSU (ISET) and completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).

In 2020, Tatia began her career at the State Audit Office of Georgia as a performance auditor, contributing to projects addressing economic efficiency and effectiveness issues within government entities and programs. As of 2022, Tatia serves as a Visiting Lecturer at Ilia State University.

Elene Seturidze

Elene Seturidze is a Senior Researcher at the Agricultural and Rural Policy Research Center at the ISET Policy Institute. She completed her Master’s degree in Economics at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).

During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia in the department of foreign trade. While pursuing her Master’s degree, she served as a student expert at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, participating in accreditation processes. In 2019, Elene undertook an internship at the ISET-PI Governance and Social Policy Research Center, and in 2020, she worked as a research assistant for a project at Colliers International.

Oleg Nivievskyi

Oleg Nivievskyi is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Economics Studies at Kyiv School of Economics, and an Honorary Research Fellow at School of Economics at the University of Queensland (Australia). Oleg also leads the Project “Invincible Land”, supported by USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity (AGRO) and by Chemonics International.

Oleg has more than 18 years of international experience in applied research in agri-food product and factor markets and value chains, rural development, and transportation economics.

Roman Neyter

Roman Neyter is a Research Fellow at the KSE Center for Food and Land Use Research (“Invincible Land” Project supported by USAID Agriculture Growing Rural Opportunities Activity (AGRO) and by Chemonics International). Roman is a Ph.D. student at Wageningen University. 

Roman’s areas of research include the land market in Ukraine, assessing the development potential of united territorial communities, and assessing the damages, losses, and needs for reconstruction and rehabilitation of Ukrainian agriculture.

Ia Katsia

Ia Katsia is a Senior Researcher at the ISET Policy Institute (ISET-PI). Ia focuses her research on agricultural and rural development policy. She is responsible for the monthly Khachapuri Index publication. Her main research interests cover Agriculture Economics, Climate Change, Food Security and Sustainable Development.

Ia Katsia is a graduate of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) with a specialization in Agricultural Economics.

Salome Gelashvili

Salome Gelashvili is the Practice Head of the Agricultural and Rural Policy Research Center at ISET-PI. Salome supervises all the research projects and regular analytical publications undertaken at the Center. Her research interests include agricultural economics, development economics and macroeconomics.

Salome has a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Tbilisi State University (TSU) and a M.A. degree in Economics from the International School of Economics at TSU (ISET).

Davit Zhorzholiani

David Zhorzholiani

Davit Zhorzholiani holds a Master’s degree in economics from ISET (2017). He earned a BA in Economics from Tbilisi State University (2014).

He has worked as a Researcher at the Agricultural Policy Research Center at ISET (International School of Economics at TSU) Policy Institute specializing in agriculture.

Phatima Mamardashvili

Phatima Mamardashvili is an Associate Professor at the East European University Georgia. She has a demonstrated history of working in the research industry. Skilled in Sustainable Development, Multiple Project Coordination, English, Russian, and Teamwork. She has served as an Assistant Professor at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University and as the Head of the Agricultural Policy Research Center (APRC) at the ISET Policy Institute (ISET PI).

Phatima Mamardashvili received her Dr.Sc. degree from ETH Zurich for the dissertation entitled Measuring economic and environmental performance of Swiss dairy farms using stochastic frontier analysis. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the Georgian State Agricultural University (2005) and her M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Sciences with a major in Food and Resource Economics from ETH Zurich.

Her research and teaching interests include Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics, and Econometrics.
