Maryia Akulava
Maryia Akulava graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) with a specialist degree in Economic Cybernetics in 2005. She obtained her MA degree in Economics from the Kyiv School of Economics (former EERC) in 2008. Since September 2009, Maryia has been working at BEROC and currently holds a position of researcher. Her research interests include labor economics, gender issues, privatization, and SMEs.
Maryia is head of the Belarusian team of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM).

Hanna Aginskaya
Hanna Aginskaya has been working as a Researcher at the Belarusian Economic Research and Outreach Center (BEROC). She obtained her PhD in Management from Belarusian State Economic University in 2017. Hanna Aginskaya has worked as a project manager assistant in UNIBEP S.A. (2011-2012) and as a project management consultant from 2013 and instructor in Belarusian national technical university during 2012–2013.
Her research interests include small and medium business development, entrepreneurship, strategy, and organizational design, innovations, social capital, and trust.

Izabela Wowczko
Izabela Wowczko works as a Research Economist at the CenEA. She holds a MSc degree in Economics (University of Szczecin) and a MSc degree in Computing (Institute of Technology Blanchardstown). Izabela Wowczko has also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Media Technologies (Dublin Institute of Technology). She also holds a Professional Diploma in Official Statistics for Policy Evaluation (National University of Ireland).
Izabela Wowczko is involved in data and policy analysis in the context of gender economics. Before joining CenEA she was employed in the public sector in Poland and Ireland. Her areas of expertise included the free movement of people in the European Union. In particular labour migration and social security for migrant workers, as well as skills development and lifelong learning.
CenEA is a member of the FREE Network and plays a leading role in the FROGEE program, focused on the analysis of the scale and implications of gender inequality in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Christina Sarah Hauser
Christina Sarah Hauser holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and a M.A. in International Economic Policy from the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po). She works as a research assistant for the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE).

Kajetan Trzciński
Kajetan Trzciński was a Senior Research Economist at CenEA until July 2023. He graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a M.Sc. in Political Economy in 2017. His work focused on the development of CenEA’s tax-benefit microsimulation model and the Polish country module of the international microsimulation model, the EUROMOD. He recently joined the World Bank.

Svitlana Taran
Svitlana Taran holds an MA in Economics from Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC) /Kyiv School of Economics. She has more than 10 years of experience as an analyst and consultant on international trade, trade policy, non-tariff barriers to trade, European integration and WTO regulations.
In 2016-2018, Svitlana worked in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. In 2018-2019, she completed the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in Economic Development at Boston University.

Olga Nikolaieva
Olga Nikolaieva is a Research Associate at KSE Institute, and a researcher at Foreign Trade Research Center, Trade+. She holds an MA in Economics from the Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC) /Kyiv School of Economics. Her main research interests lie in the field of international trade, as well as health economics and labour economics.
Olga has participated in projects such as the Horizon 2020 funded “Social Exclusion of Youth in Europe: Cumulative Disadvantage, Coping Strategies, Effective Policies and Transfer” (EXCEPT) and the feasibility study “Effectiveness of public health system in combating severe population health crisis in Ukraine”.

Maryna Khorunzha
Maryna Khorunzha is Director of the Foreign Trade Research Center, Trade+. She coordinates the work of the Trade+ team, as well as sets forth and implements the development strategy of the Center, puts together the research agenda and conducts communications and stakeholder relations. She also supervises international trade related research and directly participates in the respective analysis.
As stipulated by the research, Maryna forms and delivers policy recommendations for the state institutions, responsible for foreign trade policy making.
Maryna holds a Master of Public Administration in Economic Policy (MPA) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, LSE.

Davit Keshelava
Davit Keshelava is a Lead Economist at the ISET Policy Institute and an Assistant Professor at ISET. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and specializes in macroeconomics, gender economics, cost-benefit analysis, and impact assessment.
Dr. Keshelava actively contributes to research projects, particularly in the development of Regulatory and Gender Impact Assessments at the ISET Policy Institute. He played a pivotal role in formulating the Gender Impact Assessment (GIA) methodology and has collaborated with various Georgian ministries on Regulatory and Gender Impact Assessments. In addition, Dr. Keshelava provides comprehensive training to governmental ministries’ staff, enriching their analytical and policy formulation capabilities. He also teaches various courses in the bachelor’s program at ISET and the Ph.D. program at Tbilisi State University, further extending his expertise to future economists.
